SLT Weekly Roundup 27th January
27th January 2017
- We’re Off to See The Wizard……..Rehearsals are well under way for our fabulous whole school production of the Wizard of Oz. The performances will be at 7pm on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th February. Please buy your tickets soon from reception. Our productions usually sell out quickly.
- Our Year 7 Parents’ Evening on Tuesday was very well attended and we thank all parents for their continued support.
- Yesterday, we welcomed Year 5 students from Harston and Newton Primary School for the second time. They had a wonderful morning learning about the history of Zian (the former capital of China) and Qing Shihuang, the first emperor of China who asked his people to create the Terracotta army. Afterwards, the students learnt about the Chinese zodiac and made zodiac lanterns. There was great engagement from our year 5s - their teacher has said that they loved the lesson and are keen to learn more. Well done!
- Year 11 students have been given their provisional GCSE entry details this week. Please return the slip from the bottom of the letter or email Mrs Davis at adavis@melbournvc.org to confirm that all is correct or to raise any queries about your child’s entries.
- Today we say goodbye to Ms Field, who has been teaching in our PE department. We wish Ms Field the very best for the future.
Have a lovely weekend.
