National Success for Students
3rd May 2018
Two Melbourn students are celebrating after helping their football team to success at a national tournament.
Harriet Henry and Ruby Want were part of the Cambridge City under-12 girls’ team who won the ESF national tournament at Minehead at the weekend. The team also lifted the Fair Play award and were able to meet retired England Internationals Kevin Keegan and Casey Stoney.
City have now been invited to play at St George’s Park, the national football centre at Burton-upon-Trent, against the four best grassroots teams in the country in a competition on July 8.
The girls now head for Bognor Regis this weekend as City participate in another national tournament.
